Carrying a Baby for 2 Dads
When I was filling out my application to be a gestational carrier, I had answered that I was willing to carry a baby for anyone…basically “no preference”. Thank goodness the universe had my back and gave me my intended fathers.
I quickly realized that this was the ideal situation for me. I tend to be a bit of a “take control” type and the guys totally trusted me to take over and manage everything from my doctors’ appointments, my lifestyle, my diet, my anything really, without questions. They believed that since I was a woman, and I had experience in being pregnant that I would know what was best and they trusted me to do that.
I can only imagine that it might have been very different if I had been carrying for an intended mother. I am sure I would have had a beautiful journey either way, but it would have taken some time to establish my role and my boundaries with another woman. With two dads it was just so easy to navigate right from the start.
I can’t forget to mention how great it was to be told you were beautiful repeatedly during the pregnancy and nobody gets jealous…not even my own husband cared!
